Singapore Version 2.0
My second trip to Singapore took place less than three months after my first trip there last September and I have to say that the difference is like night and day. And it’s not because of the Christmas spirit. See, while the first trip pretty much left me and my fellow journalists to our own devices although we did got to see the world-famous Cirque Du Soleil, this one was the lap of luxury by comparison. Regular commercial flight with included the food and in-flight movie, a tour guide and a chaffeur is also included, a nice luxurious boutique hotel, eating in style at some of the new restos in town and tours of world class attractions like Sentosa, Nigth Safari and the current Art of Star Wars. Life is good, at least during that four day sojourn.
My only complain? I guess, when you’ve been to a place more than once, there’s always that tendency to do your own thing when and where you want to. And that wasn’t possible with our pretty busy schedule. Singapore is really a small city but somehow I still get the feeling that I haven’t seen enough of it. Well, with a little more time, money and a stroke of good luck, I just might get another chance to come back here real soon.
